Type of Transcript and Methods of Application for Transcipt
There are two types of academic transcript: the official copy and the student copy. The official academic transcript are usually requested for by institutions when processing your graduate study or other evaluating bodies in Nigeria and abroad while the student copy are usually for personal use.
The official copy can only be sent either physically, upload via email to official emails of the Postgraduate School of an equivalent academic institutions, Professional Institutes, Scholarship Boards and Embassies.
Unilag Transcript Application Fee
University of Lagos charges a fee to process both the student copy and official copy of academic transcript and other documents. Each copy of transcript cost N10,000 – ten thousand naira only. There is also postage charges by courier which differs base on delivery location and courier service.
How To Apply for Unilag Transcript (Unofficial or Student Copy)
Students can obtain an unofficial copy of their results transcript by submitting an application for a student transcript. Please follow the procedures below to request a student copy transcript.
Step 1: Go to Unilag’s student portal (http://studentportal.unilag.edu.ng) and sign in.
Step 2: From the Results menu, go to “Student Academic Transcript.”
Step 3: Submit your application with your most recent email address and the program you want to apply for.
Step 4: Use the created RRR number to make a payment online or at any Nigerian commercial bank.
Step 5: The Student Copy Academic Transcript will be emailed to the address provided and will also be accessible for download on the student site.
Procedure for Application of Unilag Official Transcript, Statement of Result or Other Academic Documents
1st step Before beginning the application, please read “Important Information” and “Notice” carefully.
Step 2: Select “New Application” from the drop-down menu.
Step 3: Enter your matriculation number and press the Next button. (If you can’t remember your matriculation number, click the “Click here if you can’t remember your matriculation number” button.)
Step 4: Verify that the displayed names and contact information are valid (The phone number and email fields can be updated if necessary)
Step 5: If the information presented is wrong, re-login, disregard the matriculation number area, and click next to proceed (ensure you include the matriculation number in the address section before you submit)
Step 6: Choose the correct software, document type (transcript, statement of results, etc. ), and quantity of copies necessary.
Step 7: Enter the destination, dispatch method, and address (if applicable) (please find below information on the respective documents and postage costs)
Step 8: Pay your bill online or go to remita.net, select Bills & Purchases, then Pay RRR invoice (please note that the RRR number is located on the payment advice)
Step 9: You may also print out the Payment Advice and pay at any Nigerian commercial bank.
Step 10: You will receive a confirmation email after your payment is completed or received.
Step 11: You must use the application portal to follow the status of your application.
